Princess Beatrice was married on 17th July 2020

Princess Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a private ceremony at Windsor Castle on the 17th July 2020 at 11am. We at PrincessBeatrice.co.uk are very happy for the couple 🙂 @-)—-

Princess Beatrice who at time of the wedding was 31 married, her Mr Right Mapelli who at the time is 35 years of age. The couple had planned to marry in May, and the date of 29th May 2020 was proposed at the Chapel Royal in St James Palace in London.

However, due to the pandemic this was not possible and had to be delayed. We are very happy to hear that the couple have married. And although it is not as intended with larger numbers of family, friends and royals. They can officially begin their married life together.

The new wedding venue for Princess Beatrice was the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park. This is a short drive from Windsor Castle and would have fond memories – as it is Beatrice’s childhood home. Her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, still live at the property, and so it was only right also attended the ceremony.

They were joined in attendance by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, along with other close relatives.

When did Princess Beatrice get engaged?

Beatrice began dating Mr Mozzi who the press report is known as Edo, and Beatrice began dating in autumn 2018. They got engaged during a weekend trip to Italy last September 2019.

It is said their families have known one another for many years, and that the couple met again at her sisters Princess Eugenie wedding in 2018, more on that below.

Again due to the Covid restrictions only up to 30 guests were able to attend Princess Beatrice wedding. Ensuring of course social distance at all times. Princess Beatrice has become a stepmother as her now Husband has a son named Wolfie.

What Wedding Dress did Princess Beatrice wear on her special day?

For the actual ceremony Beatrice wore a vintage Peau De Soie taffeta dress, in shades of ivory by Norman Hartnell. This it is reported was on loan from the Queen, and trimmed with duchess satin and encrusted with diamante.

The dress was altered and remodelled by the Queen’s senior dresser Angela Kelly and designer Stewart Parvin, according to Buckingham Palace.

The Queen made a lovely exception in the afternoon to Knight Sir Captain Tom

Queen Knight’s Captain Tom, following the couples wedding by inviting him and his family to Windsor Castle. It was reported in the media that following the couples wedding ceremony the Queen was one of the first to leave.

She had made special exception and performed an official engagement in person since lock down. This was to knight Sir Captain Tom, the 100-year-old who raised more than £32m for NHS charities, and who was well known in the media world wide due to this fundraising efforts. – RIP Sir Captain Tom :'(
